Let me start by saying, I LOVE DEERC and all the vehicles I own through them. They're not all hobby grade, I feel as they're very purpose built for either a lower end hobby truck, or a tougher almost in between toy/hobby, that results in a tough RC for a casual user or younger user. My child has a DEERC 003E and absolutely cannot stop it. It's been SO reliable and withstood impressive scenarios with ease, from snow, to mud, to water, heat and hard crashes.This is not a heavy duty hobby RC. But! This truck is a great deal for the current $119.99 with a 40% discount, totaling roughly $80! The reasoning, this is not far off from the price of a 1/14 vehicle from local box stores. Don't look at this truck as a fancy hobby truck. It's a durable, simple, fast but not Lightning fast lower end hobby truck.The main reasons I like it so much are the fact that is has 2 batteries to swap out. They're hard pack car specific, so not just any battery will work in this truck. The controller isn't as nice as what you'll find on say the DEERC 003E (gold truck seen in pics), and it's a brushed motor truck so it's not as crazy as the 003E. It's tough, big, beefy and simple. That's what I really like about it. It's great for my child and myself for one of the "Beater" RCs that we can pull out and not worry about. I love the size, it tears through 4" grass with minimal issues. If you look at my pics, you'll see the size comparison between a 1/14 DEERC 003E and a true 1/10 Arrma Granite Voltage. The DEERC will smoke it, but it's right on par with my Granite Voltage, being slightly smaller but with a 4wd bonus. It has a sturdy feeling plastic chassis, that's slightly on the cheaper side, but it takes crashes well! I wish the remote was a little nicer, but it's just fine. You can see the quality comparison in the two DEERCs in my images.Overall, I REALLY like this truck for its specific purpose. It's that happy medium for a truck that a casual user or my child (way above average for RC control) can drive without it being too insane. I'm very happy with this machine so far, it feels like it's more than strong enough to last a long time!

This is good starter RC monster truck for our grandkids. The truck has a solid build on the drivetrain with some metal integrated into it. Has handled the brutal quick reverse and forward actions. So far after running 6 battery packs though it there is no indications, such as grinding, coming from the gears or drivetrain. The tires are mounted nicely with no exposed glue and perfectly painted pink on both tires and rims. The overall paint scheme of the body and car go very well together and our little and big girls love it.More importantly is the performance. This truck does zip fast enough we have to avoid having the kids running it in the house. What makes this a good learner is it functions just like hobby grade RCs. The steering turns in sync with the rotation of the controller. Its not just all the way left or right, it turns slow or fast with the exact amount of rotation from the controller. Throttle is the same way. It speeds up in direct proportion with the trigger on the remote. Even has a stop function when you push the trigger forward the first time with the second time being reverse. Which is something that is common on hobby grade RCs. Other good addition is you can control the max speed to slow things down for the younger kids or beginners.IMO this may not be a hobby grade RC, but it's a great way to teach newcomers the way to control those more expensive RCs. Especially before handing them control of a $300 to $500 rig.

Just got this DEERC 1:10 RC truck and it’s awesome! The hot pink color pops, and it comes with two batteries so you can run it for a while right out of the box. Super easy to control, feels really solid, and those tires are sick. Love the metal gears and big lights too. It’s fast, fun, and perfect if you’re just getting into RC. Can’t wait to upgrade it to a brushless setup for even more power!

Such a fun car to drive. It's not overly too fast where you can't even enjoy it. This is just right. It drives perfect. Great for younger people. Great for older people. Intermediate non-intermediate just fun too long running batteries. They're fast to charge up and they hold a great charge. I'm very happy with this car
