First, this is a really fun RC to drive around given its smaller size. It goes through or over a lot of types of terrain where other RC's similar in size would get stuck it just struggle. The 4 wheel drive is a big plus, and it has quite a bit of power as well. For the price, it is much faster and more well built than others that my son and I have driven. It was just a lot of fun overall. The battery life was about as advertised; roughly 20 minutes per battery pack.A few reasons it does not get 5 stars from me... First, it is advertised in the product description as going 30+mph. This is not the case. The actual box shows 25+, but at best it might go about 20mph. This is still fast given it is less than 10" in length. Also, the controller I received (shown in my photos and shown in the operator manual itself) is noticably less sophisticated than the one shown in the photos of the product page. This was a bit disappointing as it wasn't what I thought I would be getting. That said, the range is really good; you can drive it a long distance before it starts to cut out (a few hundred feet perhaps). Plus, I will say the handling is better on this than any other RC I've driven in this price point. You can slow the speed down from the remote/transmitter which is a great feature for beginners getting used to the controls. The car is a bit bouncy at times over more choppy ground, but it can add to the fun as well. It bounced once and flipped which unfortunately caused it to lose a body clip from the bed of the truck and you'll see it from the photos. The good news is, the truck comes with a few tools as well as some extra body clips and bushings.Overall, I really do recommend this RC Truck to anyone that wants a fun RC for their kids to learn on or even for themselves. It has a lot of power for its size and some nice features that you won't find with similar priced vehicles. It's quite sturdy with a respectable battery life.
