DEERC HJ825 2-Pack RC Boats for Kids, Fast Remote Control Boat with 4×1200mAh Batteries, 120 Min Runtime, 7 LED Lights Mode, Capsize Recovery, 2.4GHz Racing, Pool & Lake Toy

Decent value for the cost and pretty good quality but not great. We have an acre size pond and the remote control signal was able to stay connected on the whole pond. The remote is easy to use, our 5 year old can figure it out. I am docking a star because the power switch is only accessible by screwing and unscrewing the bottom. Also the propellers easily get caught up in a little bit of pond weeds/muck and you need to keep clearing it out. Great size and easy to fit both boats and remotes in a backpack. Very fun for our kids and adults. Battery life/ run time is pretty good, runs a for a bout an hour and half depending on how fast you are running the boats.

The best part about this set is that it actually comes as a pair, which is exactly what you want for racing. It’s always a bit of a letdown when you get a high-speed toy but only have one, because the real excitement comes from competing against someone else. These boats are perfect for those long afternoons at the lake or just a quick session in the backyard pool.High-Speed CompetitionThe boats are the same sleek style but come in different colors, so it is easy to tell who is winning as they zip across the water at up to 20 KPH. They even have LED lights, which is a cool touch if you’re still out there as the sun starts to go down. With four batteries included, you get plenty of runtime before anyone has to head back to the dock for a recharge. Why Two is Better Than One• Instant Racing: You get two boats and two remotes right out of the box, so there is no waiting around for a turn.• Waterproof and Tough: These are specifically built for lakes and pools with a waterproof seal to keep the electronics dry while you're pushing for top speed.• Hours of Fun: Whether it's for the kids or just someone looking for something different to do on the water, these offer a lot of entertainment. There isn't much to dislike here—it’s a straightforward, fast, and fun way to get some competition going. Having the dual set means you’re ready to race the second you hit the shoreline.

This RC boat set is an awesome choice for kids and beginners who want fast, exciting water races without spending a fortune. The two-boat design makes it perfect for siblings or friends to race together, and the LED lights add a really fun touch for evening play in pools or lakes. I was especially impressed by the self-righting feature, which helps prevent frustration when the boats flip over, and the included four batteries provide much longer playtime than most RC toys in this price range. The controls are responsive, the boats feel surprisingly durable, and the speed is fast enough to be exciting while still manageable for younger users. Overall, it’s a fun, well-designed set that delivers great value and keeps kids entertained for hours.

Gifted this to my nephew and the reaction was everything you hope for when you hand a kid a remote control boat with LED lights. Two boats, two controllers, four batteries in total so both can be in the water at the same time which is the right way to do it.20 KPH on water is genuinely fast for a toy boat and the LED lighting makes it look spectacular especially in the evening on the pool. The dual style design means each boat looks different which avoids the inevitable argument about who gets which one. 😄Waterproof build holds up to the kind of enthusiastic use a kid puts these through.Pros:-> Two boats and two controllers in one set, proper racing setup-> LED lights look fantastic on the water especially in lower light-> 20 KPH is impressively fast for a toy boat-> Waterproof build handles rough kid use-> 4 batteries included means straight into the waterCons:-> Range on the remote is limited, works best in smaller pools or calm water-> Battery life per session is not very long at full speed, needs recharging fairly oftenSmiles from the moment it was opened. A genuinely fun gift that gets used rather than sitting on a shelf. Happy to answer questions about age suitability or how it holds up over time 😊

This pair of RC boats from DEERC is a fun beginner-friendly set that works well for racing around calm water. The boats are easy to control and have enough speed to handle slow-moving currents without difficulty. Their compact size makes them ideal for use in a backyard pool, shallow pond, or other smaller bodies of water. In rougher conditions they do struggle somewhat due to their size, but they still performed better than I expected. The controls are not proportional, so there is no variable throttle control, but since the boats are not extremely fast, this does not negatively affect handling very much. Even on a windy day at my local pond with choppy water, the boats stayed controllable and maintained signal reliably at around 100 meters away. It was actually quite fun watching them cut through the waves caused by the wind. The LED lighting is a nice feature, especially for evening use, and the CH3 button on the controller cycles through several lighting modes and effects that add to the fun.Battery life is also impressive. Each battery lasted well over 20 minutes during testing, and since each boat includes two batteries, you can keep running for quite a while before needing to recharge.Overall, this is a fun and affordable RC boat set that is especially well suited for beginners or casual racing. They are small enough for pools and small ponds, while still being capable enough for larger calm-water areas.
