It actually maintains a very consistent and stable grip on rough surfaces, and the build quality of the 4WD drivetrain is high-quality enough that I don't worry about mechanical failure during a long session of university-sponsored family events or weekend DIY projects.In our busy household, we value gear that simplifies my transition from my university schedule to our outdoor hobbies, and this high-speed remote control car is a massive help for our daily routine. The build quality feels very solid, and you can tell the shell is high-quality because it resists cracks even after a high-speed collision with a garden shed. You can feel a faint, reassuring vibration from the motor when it hits top speed, which gives me a bit of certainty that the electronics are working perfectly while I'm reviewing research files or planning property maintenance at my workstation.Underneath the main aesthetic appeal of the aggressive monster truck design, the internal cooling works perfectly to prevent overheating, and the sleek red finish provides a level of professional style that makes my hobby collection look much more updated. I bought this expecting a decent entry-level RC car, but it honestly exceeded expectations. The 4WD traction is legit — it handles dirt, gravel, grass, and even light mud without getting stuck. The speed is no joke either; it’s fast enough to be fun for adults, not just kids.Battery life is solid with the two included packs — I’m getting close to 35–40 minutes combined, which is great at this price point. The suspension is surprisingly capable and absorbs bumps well, so it doesn’t feel cheap or toy-like.Big bonus: it’s pretty durable. I’ve crashed it more than I’d like to admit and it keeps going.

This baddy is amazing! Ok, I'm going to say the 1.5 things I'm not fond of so I can get onto all the great stuff! 1. When switching from fwd to rvs there is a significant delay, especially if you're trying to do like a 3 point turn. Sometimes needing to hit reverse 3 or 4 times to make it actually reverse. The other point five is those horns! While cool, they will snag on every passing branch or obstacle, but lets me honest, that's more of a driver issue than anything wrong with the design.Now the good stuff! Straight out of the box I play with it for 15 mins with no apparent slow down of power. It takes jumps really well, and unless I screwed up in my driving, it landed on its wheels 9/10.It's fast and has power to pull itself out of clumps of tall grass and obstacles. The way it just seems to float over bumps is amazing to watch.I had a lot of fun with it, that's for sure!Controls are smooth (except where noted above) and it reacts well to most directions. Given the quality of the ride and the coolness factor, it's definitely a great deal! High end fun with lower end cost!I love this one and I'm so glad I added it to my collection!

This one lands somewhere in the middle for me. DEERC can be hit or miss, and this truck feels like one of their better looking models without fully backing it up in stock form. The shell and graphics look great, and the truck is marketed around a 1:18 4WD setup with a 380 brushed motor and speed claims around 40 km/h.The weak spot is the included lithium ion batteries. They are fine for basic driving, but they do not give you that fast, aggressive performance shown in the promo videos. With the stock setup, it feels more like a decent toy grade runner than a real little ripper. If your kid actually wants better speed and punch, a battery upgrade is where this thing starts making more sense. DEERC itself also sells higher power 3S upgrade packs for some of its faster RC line, which lines up with the idea that battery choice makes a huge difference on these cars.So overall, nice looking truck, fair parts quality, but the stock batteries need immediate replacement. Fun enough out of the box, just do not expect the commercial video experience unless you plan on upgrading it. Definitely don't expect the commercial video crazy high jumps off tall structures either unless you're looking to break the thing in 10 minutes as well. These tires and plastic shell isn't built for what it's being advertised to do which feels a bit decisive.
