The controller has good range and beeps if the battery is low. Gun style control has a button for choosing speed it has a toggle to set trim (steering) a button to turn light on or off and finally the steering wheel with a trigger to go forward or back. RC boat has a cool paint design with some graphics and a good sized rear fin. The boat is quick and can make sharp turns it can't back up very well it just goes in circles (to the right) while the rear sinks in the water. SO try not to get stuck in spots that require backing up straight. RC is shy of a foot long and 3.5 inches wide. The motor is water cooled and it sucks water in as you move. Issues I found where that it takes in a bit of water, it can't back up straight, battery does n't lock in place so it moves around and it has a foul fish smell inside that has not yet gone away. You only smell it when you open it. Batteries last about 18-30 minutes depending on the speed and how you drive. The charge time is roughly 2 hours give or take. RC comes with 2 batteries a propeller with a wrench, screwdriver, a boat stand and a USB cord for charging batteries. Fun RC boat with 3 speed options you can set it to the experience of the driver. Either way your kids are sure to have fun with it and no worries of flipping it cause it self corrects. Body is strong enough to get banged up without cracking or sinking.

This radio controlled boat has plenty of speed and flashing lights on the side make it easy to see in the dark. Each battery lasts for about 15 minutes of full speed boating, plus another 5 minutes where the speed is noticeably reducing before the transmitter starts to give the "low battery" beeps. The package includes two batteries and a USB-A port battery charger that takes about 2 hours to fully recharge each battery.In addition to controlling the speed and steering, the hand controller can turn the lights on and off, and has a "demo" mode that makes the boat do a figure eight pattern on its own. It also has a "flip" function that turns the propeller and drive shaft quickly and then reverses it. The idea is that the torque will "flip" the boat if it gets upside down in the water. However, when I threw the boat into the water upside down, this feature rocked the boat, but never flipped it back upright.On the plus side, we were using the boat in a lake with a little bit of chop, and were never able to capsize the boat, so you may never need the auto-righting feature as it appears to be very stable in the water.One safety note, the boat is ready to go as soon as you install the battery, so if you turn on the transmitter, you can spin up the propeller even when the boat isn't in the water, so you want to be careful about not cutting yourself or others who may be holding the boat before it is placed into the water.Overall I am happy with the performance of this small RC speedboat.

I got this mini RC boat by DeeRC, because it is small, has a rudder, and the LED lights looked very cool. If it could actually do 20mph, it would be really fast for its 11”length.It comes in a nice box with cool graphics and includes the YK080 boat, controller, (2)7.4 800Mah batteries, screwdriver, wrench, instructions, with spare shaft nut and propeller.It is small, at just about 11” including rudder, but is a true hobby grade boat. The quality is excellent with good quality plastic and solid, and very cool, construction. It’s an eye catching and fast looking boat.Being a hobby grade RC boat, the main difference between it and cheaper toy grade boats is the rudder and proportional direction and speed control. Most toy grades use 2 independent props and turn on or off the L or R propeller to use directional propulsion to change direction. It’s either full speed or no speed.The YK080 can modulate speed and direction using the feather controls on the comfortable pistol remote. You can motor it slowly or pop it out of the water to top speed in a second.On the water, it is a surprisingly fast boat and turns direction like a magic trick! I could cut it across a pond in seconds and maneuver it in really tight places along the bank of the pond with amazing precision.I was having so much fun, I did flip it on a floating piece of wood in the middle of the pond. I tested the capsize button on the remote, and it flipped over upright as easy as a duck!The lights are the best I’ve seen on a boat this size, and follows the sleek design contours of the attractive boat.Overall, this is a high quality little RC boat, with proportional control, cool lights and is fast and highly maneuverable. It’s an awesome little RC boat!I also know from having several DeeRC boats and cars, it is a company with some of the best customer service I have experienced. I know if anything goes wrong with my YK080, DeeRC will always do their best to make me happy. 5 stars👍🏼

Me and the kids had an amazing time flying this thing across the lake, it’s fast enough to get the excitement going but still easy for them to handle. The controls were very user friendly, and both kids got about 15 minutes of run time each without issue, which felt longer than I expected with how hard they pushed it. We even had fun just watching it skim and jump over little waves. Setting it up fairly easy and it didn’t take much space in our backpack, which made it even easier to carry around. I'm thinking about grabbing a second one so we can race next time. Definite recommend from me!

This little RC boat is pretty fun it's got quite a bit of speed to it and it's built very well. It is very hard to tip over and when it does it does self right. It takes a minute but it does work. The only complaint I have is the turn radius is not very tight so it makes very big turns
