I've attached a video showing the toy scooting around my hot tub. My 5 year old loves this and is always begging to go outside and use it. We have had it about two weeks now and he still wants to play with it. The bathtub will work as well, but it scoots pretty fast and will run into the ends very quickly. We've yet to find the "end" of the battery, so it's pretty efficient. He's played with it 15-20 minutes and it was still going. The plug to charge it DOES NOT REQUIRE DISASSEMBLY! Thankful parent here. The charger connector is keyed, so it only fits one way. The charging cable is very short and requires your own usb charge block. The controller is powered by two "AAA" batteries, not included. The toy itself powers on and off by itself (small metal pins on the bottom turn it on when they are submerged in water.) The remote must be turned on separately...and does not turn off, so it can and will drain the batteries. The little guy "paddles" from side to side, there's lights as well. The steering control is done only by the two propellers on the back, so don't expect this thing to "turn on a dime" Don't forget to lower the balance thing on the bottom, or it will just tip over all the time. Overall, we're pleased with it and feel like it's worth the price tag.
