After running it for a while, it didn’t feel like it was overheating or losing performance.Battery life is decent for the power you’re getting. The battery gives it strong bursts of speed, and I got a good amount of run time before needing to bring it back. The low battery warning is actually useful because you don’t want to risk losing control far out on the water.The self-righting feature is a lifesaver. I flipped it a couple of times while getting used to the controls, and it managed to recover quickly most of the time. Just don’t expect it to work perfectly if the battery is really low.At night, the LED lights are a nice touch. It looks pretty cool gliding across the water with different lighting modes, and it also helps keep track of it when visibility drops.Control range is solid too and I didn’t notice signal drops within a reasonable distance, and steering feels smooth once you get used to the sensitivity.

This is a very fast RC boat with a brushless motor in it. It looks fantastic on the water. It is very easy to use. Charge the battery, put it in, and then place it in water. I like that it features water cooling to keep electronics cool. I also liked seeing the double seal canopy to keep the internal dry. It is very easy to drive the boat, almost anyone can manage it. I appreciated seeing it uses standard battery connectors making it possible to use other RC style batteries. While it is a good value for the money, I would have liked to have seen more upgradability options for the boat. A big part of the fun of RC is upgrading and improving the performance. With this boat, everything is kind of glued together so it isn't really easy to upgrade or modify it. It is a blast to drive out on the water and is easy to maneuver and steer. It is quite durable and can handle a few bumps with no issues. The battery lasts a long time, and it is easy to add more batteries. The water cooling keeps the motor ready to go for longer sessions. I like that it is easy to flip it back over in the event it gets upside down. The lights really add to the visual appeal. I think this would be a great gift for anyone who spends time near water.

This DEERC S7 brushless boat is a blast.It’s larger and heavier than I expected, which actually helps it handle rough water a lot better than many smaller RC boats I’ve used. It’s not the fastest boat out there, but it still has plenty of power and handles really well.The build quality also feels very good. The brushless outrunner motor is a good size, and the 2-in-1 ESC/motor setup stays cool with the water cooling system. The hull is sealed up very well too. After running it, the inside of the boat stayed bone dry.The included 2500mAh 30C 3S LiPo is also very good quality and uses a XT60 connector, which I really like because you’re not stuck using proprietary batteries.The remote is comfortable to hold and very responsive and had good range. It has a dedicated light button and the LEDs have multiple colors and modes. The self-righting feature also works very well by quick pressing the button on the controller.One really cool thing that isn’t even advertised is the built-in bait release mechanism for fishing. Long pressing the self-right button opens and closes the latch at the back of the boat. Very cool hidden feature.I also like how the manual includes a full parts list and detailed diagrams, which is always nice to see on RCs.This is a really cool boat. It feels tough, runs great, and is super fun to use. I think the regular price is decent, but it’s definitely a very good deal if you can grab it on sale.
