This car can be a a sedate little lamb, or an absolute ANIMAL and anywhere in between with a simple adjustment of the transmitter. Both myself and my kids absolutely love it. The chassis is extremely well made and from a very durable plastic and can take the accidental beatings we've given it without hesitation.The suspension is strong enough and has a fairly generous stroke to it and between it and the non adjustable damping does seem to be able to keep the wheels fairly firmly the ground. That being said, I've still managed to loading it a couple of times intentionally.We've used it a dozen times, mostly on the low and medium settings and have yet to fully deplete the battery before we've decided we've had enough and pack it away again, though the battery indicator shows that we've come close a couple of times.As with any car with a plastic shell, you've got to be mindful that the shell itself can potentially break very easily as its only around 0.7mm thick abs, which is fairly standard for them, but it's light and can be easily repaired if it cracks, so there's that.My only real gripe, and it's a small one, is that the charger although versatile in that it features a Usb-A connector, does seem to cap out at about 1Amp draw. I tested it on a battery bank that can deliver 3 Amps and never saw over 1 amp, usually only about 0.9, and ends up taking a bit over 3 hours to deliver a full charge. If it had usb-c it could potentially charge at almost double this rate and still stay within the 1C safety margin (1 Amp charge rate per 1000mah capacity). This is a slight inconvenience, but offset by the fact that two battery packs were included.I also cannot forget to mention that spare wheels, wheel nuts and suspension arms were included. I've not needed them yet, though definitely appreciate their inclusion.Honestly this is probably the best rc car I've ever gotten hold of and it absolutely runs rings around the insane rc cars I had as a teenager in the 90's as it is fun and so much simpler to use.

this car is great funfast speed. cool lightsworks great in dirt or hard ground. but, the wheels are a bit small so it can struggle on moist grass as it builds up and slow downs.this car has two key advantages i haven't seen in others. 1x the clips on the shell have a strap so you're less likely to lose them. 2x comes with a spare set of wheels - which is handy for when wheels crack from side impact - as has happened on other carshere's some before and after photos.

This is my son's third DEERC car and he's been very happy with all of them (the first two ended up breaking after too many extreme off-road stunts - these are solidly made but not indestructible). This one has a top speed of 31mph when using the two included batteries, but if you use 3S Lipo batteries you can supposedly get a top speed of 43mph, but I have not tried this. One neat feature of this car is that it has under-chassis LED lights that you can change the color of using the remote control, and also the people inside the car light up and can also be separately color controlled. One downside is that there are no front headlights or brake lights.Controlling the car is easy once you get the hang of it. Acceleration is super fast so you need to learn not to go full throttle all the time or you could end up flipping. For best results you need to finesse the throttle and steering.The remote control requires 4 AA batteries, which are NOT included so be sure to include some AA batteries if you're giving this as a gift.DEERC makes excellent quality RC cars and this is no exception. It's super fun. Highly recommended!

I have a good bit of DEERC RC trucks ranging from 1/10 to 1/18 but this is the first 1/14 short course truck I saw from them, and I wanted to see how it was!Build quality feels really solid all the plastic parts have some flex which is what you want on a RC because if they are too hard they will break very easy in a crash, the driveline is all metal which was nice to see while also having CNC oil filled shocks which most of the time you see others only have normal shocks that are not oil filled, so I always had to upgrade them. And it was also nice seeing the ESC using the common standard 3 wires so it is very easy to get a replacement steering servo for this RC when needed or to add more lights to it, and it also has a 3 cable motor so that is another thing that is easy to replace so I do like the electronics.The chassis is also a very common layout which should be easy to find replacement parts for it, and I really love the body design which has been really durable for the past days I was running this, it has plastic sliders on the roof so when it rolls over it protects it from getting scratched, and it also has a roll cage.I really love the lighting system this has, the drivers lights up in the cab and there are two light strips under the car which is protected that also lights up and really shows nicely on the ground, and it also has lighting effects that can be changed to solid colors or moving effects and from the controller with the two buttons which you can have the cab ones a different color while the under ones another color which is pretty cool.Performance is really good with the 45 amp ESC and the 4500KV brushless motor, it's fast and has a lot of torque even on the 7.4V batteries that come with it and you can easily hear the power also, and it does handle grass pretty well as you can see in the video but it does struggle a bit with thicker grass which is expected from the lower ground clearance and smaller wheels, but if I keep it moving it plows right through it with no issues. On the street part of it as I showed, I also tried one of my 11.1V 3S lipo batteries and WOW it sure wakes it right up and is a beast which is much faster and has so much torque that it does 360s on demand and wants to lift the front end up, I also was pretty happy that the 3S 2200mAh battery that I had fits in the tray which I did not think it would fit but I was able to even latch it down also. Battery runtime with the batteries it comes with is around 20 to 30mins which is pretty good for this type of RC and that will depend how you drive it also.Overall I really do love this hobby grade RC truck they really did a good job with it, I love the design and everything about it while also being at a great value because it also comes with four extra wheels and two batteries, and while this is not a con for me because it can easily be added if you wanted to I'm pretty sure or with an upgraded ESC, It would've been really nice if it had a gyro when running on a 3S battery to keep it under control and handle better because it is really fast! Now on 2S a gyro is not needed at all though but would've been nice if it had one. As is, I love it and have no cons to say about it and it gets a solid 5 stars from me 👍
