Decent value for the cost and pretty good quality but not great. We have an acre size pond and the remote control signal was able to stay connected on the whole pond. The remote is easy to use, our 5 year old can figure it out. I am docking a star because the power switch is only accessible by screwing and unscrewing the bottom. Also the propellers easily get caught up in a little bit of pond weeds/muck and you need to keep clearing it out. Great size and easy to fit both boats and remotes in a backpack. Very fun for our kids and adults. Battery life/ run time is pretty good, runs a for a bout an hour and half depending on how fast you are running the boats.

In rougher conditions they do struggle somewhat due to their size, but they still performed better than I expected.The controls are not proportional, so there is no variable throttle control, but since the boats are not extremely fast, this does not negatively affect handling very much. Even on a windy day at my local pond with choppy water, the boats stayed controllable and maintained signal reliably at around 100 meters away. It was actually quite fun watching them cut through the waves caused by the wind.The LED lighting is a nice feature, especially for evening use, and the CH3 button on the controller cycles through several lighting modes and effects that add to the fun.Battery life is also impressive.
